Many are testing the waters after finishing school in search of possible careers. Others have concrete goals to save the environment. A growing number of young people are trying to make a difference, helping out in the world's problem regions.

Volunteers from around the globe are helping the Kenyan environmental organization Ecofinder to improve conditions around Africa's Lake Victoria. Global warming, population growth, and deforestation on the lake's shores have all increased environmental stress in the region.
